Didn’t think walleyes we’re supposed to bite on a warm calm day in the afternoon. This one was 29 1/4” long and caught another 5 minutes later which I released. Both in 16’ of water and using a 4 1/2” Powerbait worm.
Great fish! Going to eat her, or put her on the wall?

Thats a dandy eye! Wish ours got that big. Ours are just planted in the reservoirs here so 24” is a great one for us. Most are 16-20”
Even if you don't fish, the area around Duluth is absolutely beautiful in the fall. We try to get up there every couple years just to enjoy the scenery. Mid to late September can't be beat, plus most of the tourists are gone and finding a place to stay is not only easier, but cheaper. North Shore Drive and the harbor at Duluth are "musts" if you have never been there.
