Beans are stringless, microwaved in a little water. Just like steamed. Kids always liked them better whole, called them french fry beans.

Here's how I like them. String and par-boil. Dump in strainer. Put some bacon grease in good size pan
put green beans in and let them get coated in bacon grease til they change color and then add a little water and let them cook til tender. Also add salt & pepper. I cook them a long time on low heat. Stir every now & then to make sure there is enough liquid in bottom so green beans won't scorch. Man, I could eat them every day with some cornbread, onions & fresh tomatoes.

I like mine steamed to tender crisp tossed with a touch of olive oil and garlic. Put that next to a steak and a baked potato, that's it, I'm happy.

Larry, my Dad taught me to shoot with a Benjamin, a pistol. I still have it 70 years later! It won't hold air any more, but it sure looks good on the shelf near Dad's picture.

Taught both my daughters to shoot in the basement with a Crossman co2 pistol. Worked out great . Nine years later my youngest said she was thinking about the FBI. Wanted to know if I would take her to the range to learn to shoot. She never did join, but she sure can shoot.

Never hurts to learn how to use a weapon.
Our daughter and husband used to hunt in Montana, their house looks like a small armory.

Probably my favorite way to eat green beans! Especially with the bacon chopped up and added to the beans.

Anyone tried grilled asparagus?
They are really good.
Wife uses an indoor smokeless grill.
Asparagus wrapped in bacon, 400 degrees for about 20 minutes in the oven. Yummy.

We grill them outdoors and they are by far the best way to do asparagus. I put a little of my rib rub on them before wrapping the bacon on. The smokless grill should work great. Wish we could get the wild ones for more than just a couple/three weeks around here.

My wife puts asparagus under the broiler brushed with oil, then puts parmesan on top, like her favorite Longhorn Steak House used to have. Good stuff!

I grill asparagus all the time out on the bbq. Brush with olive oil and salt and pepper and a little garlic. Yummy
