Thank you Randy! I kinda remember now. I sometimes get confused over some of those Biblical metaphors and parables. Problem with this one is, I don't have a boat. Jesus wouldn't care, he'd love me anyway.

Yes he does and he doesn't need a boat.

Thanks WH for your service as an RN and this contribution.
It still bothers me that the “privileged” 20 to 40 year olds will try to walk past the Face Masks Required signs then argue with the employees that masks are just a nuisance & inconvenience. Then they say “I will never shop here again”. Good, it reduces my exposure to idiots that don’t believe that they could be “healthy” carriers. Just Sayin, as RJS puts it.

But if I am standing in Walmart and somebody is coughing near me I'm hoping that there's that 6-foot distance and that they are wearing a mask as well. I think we owe it TO EACH OTHER to wear the masks to prevent me from infecting you or you from infecting me. Wearing a mask is a small price to pay for protecting your life. One vector for transmission is spit. My mask will keep most of my spit to me. My mask will prevent your spit from me. The air around you will NOT stop the possibility of transmission by microscopic germs in microscopic spit. Washing hands was proven to be a barrier to infection transmission during the 1800s by doctor/scientists Koch, Lister, Semmelweis, Leeuwenhoek and Pasteur. People, then, were unconvinced that hand-washing helped deter germs and disease transmission. Today doctors/scientists are saying masks will help deter the germs and disease transmission. People now are unconvinced that masks will help...those people are on the same side as those who thought hand washing was quackery. Mask wearing is a small price to pay.

I agree totally. The problem now is not wearing or not wearing a mask it's the problems caused by those who want to condemning those that don't. That's to be expected considering the source though. If folks would try to teach diplomatically instead of calling people profane names because their opinion is different than others maybe things would come along more smoothly. It comes with the territory. One group is passive and the other group can't stand not telling people off for most of what they do.

Yup. They might keep spit or blood from flying but they won't protect against a virus unless they are sealed air tight. Then you know what happens. Suffocation. I have t seen an air tight mask yet and most people have their nose exposed. That passes for wearing a mask I guess but don't help a thing with a virus. Scientific studies prove my point.

JMO...they are better than nothing and those with their nose hanging out need instruction on 'how to don a mask'. Virus particles ARE very small but masks will catch more than no mask at all. You willing to risk it? If you catch it, who will you leave behind? They need you. Won't you reconsider?

Weekend Hooker,
Thank you for your concern for all of us and for standing to your guns on this issue. This snowflake for one will join you in wearing a mask.
