I was buying all my fishing items from Academy, but they are out of everything I want. I thought maybe they were going out of business. They’re only two blocks from me so it made it really convenient.

No problem here in Portland, Ore. Been buying at Fisherman's and on Amazon.
Best places I know of are Cabelas, I started buying from them in the mid 70s from their catalog and have been very happy. Their product descriptions are accurate and honest, if the product carries the Cabelas label, you can count on it being of quality and their prices are fair. Also try the Longfin, their store is in Orange, CA. and online at Longfin.com. prices are fair and they carry top quality products such as Owner and Gamakatsu hooks in all sizes and styles, Penn, Daiwa Shimano, AA swimbaits etc. If you have questions or need advice their staff are ALL fishermen very knowledgeable in all types of fishing from bluegill to marlin and all are more than willing to spend time with you to give you what
ExperienceD same thing. Ordered online from Dicks Sporting Good. Free shipping for 50.00 min. Items shipped from 3 different locations but it was free shipping and got everything I ordered.
Same thing in our area girl at counter said she would try to find out. Same thing happened with 223 ammo
not long ago now they don't sell it at all
Local Walmart has been wiped out for several months. Have a Bass Pro nearby and they were cleaned out of most sinkers (!) and most terminal tackle. Lucky to have a few privately owned bait & tackle shops that stay fairly well stocked.

Walmart, Sportsmans, and Cabelas are all starting to get a fair supply back in the stores around here. People going back to work so not as many fishing is helping the supply.
Try Precision Fishing online
Central Arizona experiencing the same thing.
The local Dick's i go to is pretty cleaned out of fishing gear, asked the kid there why
Says it was all bought up online during the shutdown & manufacturer are slow to get supplies delivered
Maybe I'm just lucky. Everything I've ordered thru Amazon, Bass Pro, and Ebay. I have received with the exception of two little 2" paddle tail jig trailers. I have some, but I was running low, so I ordered more, one week back ordered. I these past three months I have ordered over $200 with of fishing gear with no problems.
Yeah, It's crazy . Stores around me like Dick's and Walmart have been out of everything for weeks, Dick's shelves are so bare you would swear they were going out of business or something.
Visited two local gun shops a week ago. One was so packed with people, you could hardly get in. They didn’t want you to wear a mask. The other looked like it was going out of business, nothing on the shelves. Owner said he couldn’t get anything.
