Good one Zoey!

I've been fishing for over 60 years and I've always been pretty good at it and I've caught fish all over the world, all kinds of different species. I've caught a lot of fish in my lifetime. Until this year. The last fish I caught, in fact the last time my rod even twitched, was last year right before Christmas. I've been fishing probably 20 or so times this year, and I have caught zilch. Zero. Nada. Who knows? It happens.

Good Morning Mr. Spiritof27 :)
It happens, we are going to start a log. Date, time, place, weather and other things.
Trying to find an easy app we can use. They say after a year it will help decide
Where to go on a particular day.

Zoey :)

I agree whole heartedly. Catching fish is a bonus and if they don't show up for the party? Start the dance without em!

Right on John, had the boys out on the 4th, caught a few dinks, but a bald eagle flew about 30 ft above the boat,to me that made the 11/2 drive worth it!!

Maybe we're fishing at the wrong place.

Well then there's a bunch of wrong places out here. Haven't fished the same place twice. Maybe that's what's wrong? One of these days I know they're gonna wear me out.

The only time I don't catch fish is when I take my grandkids fishing and let them catch all the fish. If you are not catching any fish big or small you are in the wrong place. Try night crawlers or red worms and stop walking so much. Sometimes you have to slow down and smell for fish.

OK. Sounds so simple. Gee, I never thought of night crawlers or red worms. Next you'll be tellin me to try power bait.

Not really into artificial baits, everybody needs a back to basics reminder we tend to get to advanced for our own good and forget the days of the feed sack thread with a sawing needle bend on the barbed wire tied to a stick with a worm. Not trying to tell you how to fish just reminding you of the simpler days. Good luck, keep on fishing.

I finally broke my skunk streak with a super tiny bass, but it's better than nothing! The last 4 times I've gone out, nothing. 3 of those days I didn't even get a bite! I'm usually out there for 3-4 hours at a time, walking around the lake or up / down the river/creek

When I'm salmon or steelhead fishing I consistently return home without a fish or even a bite. All other fish I'd say my results are 99% successful. 90% of that 99% is keeper fish.

I know. Sometimes I come off a little caustic. I've tried bout everything I can think of that has always worked before, and I sure ain't too proud to put a worm on a hook and throw that out there. I never in my life have gone this long without catchin a fish. I've been fishin for trout for about the last 50 years, with a great deal of success I might add, I know where they hang out and I know what they like to eat. Well, I thought I did. Now I'm starting to wonder. Thanks for tryin.
