If it weren't for air conditioning, Florida would be uninhabitable. Anything that can sting, itch or hurt you real bad is there waiting for you. But if you know what you're doing and prepare you can enjoy a host of really neat wildlife.

I live in Central Fl. My suggestion would be to fish from a boat. Guys have disappeared without a trace.lol Where I live, we have lots of spring fed water that stays in low 70s, so fishing is possible 12 months a year. But, good fishing is early morning, and late evening, anyway. Good luck.

Sounds great to me. We have some serious bass here, and I know you have great ones there. My boat is not a bass boat, but fine nonetheless.

I live the n St Augustine fish lake George and Crescent and the St Johns soft plastics 1/16-3/8oz. Flip pads and lay downs in morning and look for bait clouds in afternoon and docks with chatter baits

I miss Florida bass fishing. Get on the water before sunup and watch a natural wonderland come to life. You'll have plenty of fishing time before the sun gets you. Same with sundown if you don't mind the pop up showers. I live up here in Woodstock Ga learning how to fish up here now that I've retired.

Yes Just1fish, the awakening of nature is a favorite thing for me, too. The stories are many and long, and burned in memory. I especially like watching the river otters play.
