They are great for jelly ,but better if you take the seeds out .
Tillamook also has a Marionberry pie ice cream that is outstanding, IMO.
The picture is actually of TWO separate entities.
The first is, of course, the tasty berry, so sweet, here in Oregon...best as cobbler.
The second is the "bane of my existence", say the majority of homeowners in Oregon, especially those with acreage with some water source. They can take over a swale and go from a 10'x20' patch to 1/2 an acre in a month....creating Brer' Rabbit's ideal hangout.... only it might get to be 10' high....so pretty much all wildlife ! Rabbits, birds, deer, coons, ....bears.
Love to eat them .... constant yearly struggle to contain them....a Yin/Yang plant, for sure.
