As for not making it through the death roll, that is the idea. Then you get to tenderize yourself stuck under a rock or a log for a few days.

When I lived in La. we fished around big gators a lot. Never seemed bother us. We weren’t in kayaks though.

I sent a PM to badbobby who also fishes Leke Houston as well and he says that Lake Houston is not polluted at all. It was at one point but not any more so I wouldn't let that pollution crap bother you. Badbobby has to wait for his son in law to go fishing sense he has the boat and the vehicle to pull it with.
