Skoal straight long cut, I used to smoke but I transfer chemicals to and from liquid cargo barges at different chemical plants and smoking is a no no. So I started dipping and I think it is more addictive than smoking.
Red Man (Red/Green). Been chewing it since I was 14. Sixty-two years later, still at it.

Have you lost teeth due to chewing tobacco? That juice gets under the gum line & I guess x-rays would show if there is decay under the gumline.

No, receding gums on 2 bottom teeth is all. I'm 63 now.
Had a buddy (passed about 8 years ago) that was a chew guy, Skoal, I believe. Always had a Coke can in the cupholder that he used for like a month, before changing cans....so gross, imo.
He always spat on his lure before casting and didn't think worms would even work if he didn't spit on 'em ! .......R.I.P. Donnie, miss fishin' with ya !
I did not smoke until I finished high school in 1950 and went to work as a roust about for a oil company. All the men I worked with smoked and since they could not smoke around the oil/gas well they would take breaks to smoke away from the well. I was expected to keep working since I did not smoke. I started to smoke to get the smoke breaks also. Poorest excuse in the world to start smoking. I smoked Camels for 25 years. I quit cold turkey in 1970 when I caught strip throat. Have not lit one up since. For a couple of years when someone would light one up it really smell good but now I can hardly stand the smell of smoke.
My Dad was roll your own smoker. Bull Durman was his brand. When we were baling hay, he could not smoke so he would chew Mail Pouch or Beechnut chewing tobacco. I never got into the chewing tobacco.
I did try snuff one time. I was cleaning out my car and found a can of snuff in the glove compartment that a friend had put there. I dared my Mother to take a dip and she said she would if I would. We both took a dip and nearly choked to death on it. Never again.
