My Great Grand Father broke me of tobacco when I was very young. He cut me a plug off his King B Twist and let me to try it out, I got sick as a dog. Never wanted to have anything else to do with that, every now and then he'd ask if I wanted any and just laugh.

I smoked Marlboro Reds from 16 to about 21 yrs old. Quit. I smoked GOOD REAL Cigars until about 3 years ago. When I was diagnosed with Cancer DR said better quit so I did. My buddy would tell me I will never catch a salmon after touching the fresh Herring with cigar hands. I hooked many fish with the bait after I didn't use gloves. Maybe some Salmon have good tastes and good real tobacco cigars were good scent to them.

That’s interesting because next to baseball players, fisherman were viewed as smokeless tobacco users. Times have changed. I’m not a user but I hold it against no one that is. Jeremy I’m glad you won your battle. Good luck.

Regular Camel smoker for years. Also used Brown’s Mule, and other plug. Didn’t like bag stuff too much. I quit over 25 years ago and have not regretted it yet. Still want one every now and then. I guess that is why I am now 77 years young. Three packs a day got too expensive.

I worked in summers in college with an oil field roust about crew. One of the old men Glen chewed plug. He had a speech issue and chewed plug tobacco. He said he had someone always bummed “pug” off him. He said Yerry (his version of Larry), I fixed it. I said what did you do Glen? He said one day he bummed pug off me, there was only a little corner left. He said I whipped my d*** out and pissed on it, wrapped it up and stuck it in my pocket. The guy asked Glen, what did you do that for? Glen said, I always do that to keep it moist. Glen said, Yerry, he never bummed pug no more!

One time my cousin came to visit & instead of candy we bought a plug of Brown Mule (we said it was for our grandfather). We slipped into a little shed by the house & I took a bite off one end and he took a bite off the other end. We spit it out shortly thereafter & he stuck the plug in his jean pocket.
Later that night as I was laying in bed, my Mother told my cousin he had to take a bath. After some coaxing he got in tub & Mother shook his jeans & the plug fell out. Mother said "what is this?" Bobby (my cousin) said "Marlene did it too"! I pretended to be sleeping. But I got mad at him the next day for telling my Mother that I did it too. Ha
