Do they make a fish finder app that you can use on your iPhone ? I don’t want to spend $2-300 bucks on a fish finder when I can download a free app on my phone .
There is a free garmin app called “active captain” You can down load app and will go to the lake you are on and you can make and store waypoints
Garman has a free app you down load on you phone
Has lakes on it
You can mark waypoints and save them
Works very easy as I am not computer savvy
Third time hope it gets to you

Actually there is a system that will permit using the I phone as a sonar screen and it works fairly well. It includes a wiFi box that goes on the boat and an App for the phone. You also need a sonar detector (transducer) that can be portable for the boat. The WiFi unit is the Vexilar SP200 Tbox. I was part of a Beta test for this system and as a back-up it'd OK but I wouldn't use it as a primary.
