She volunteered for the U.S. Marine Corps and was one of the first to enlist and be accepted for training as a Marine.
Basic training was a trial, but she was able to not only survive it, but excel. She was ran the obstacle course quickly, earned a marksman's badge on the rifle range, and over all earned her place among the fellow recruits.
Next came advance infantry training, and here she began to excel and was voted the top candidate for her class.
Upon graduation, they were all given leave and went to town. In the first bar, they downed a number of beers and tossed out in the street a group of disrespectful sailors. Later, in another bar, they mopped the floor with some army soldiers just on general principles.
Now, really feeling no pain, they decide to all go get tatooed. While her squad is getting theirs done, she cannot decide what exactly she wants in the way of a tat. Finally, they have left before she gets her tats finished. Since none of her squad is still present when she is finished, she goes out on the street, looks around and there's nobody there. Now, wait, there was one guy, seated on a park bench across the street.
She walks over and flips up her skirt and said, "What do you think of my tatoos?" He peers closely, first on the left, then the right, and back again. Finally, he says, "Well, I recognize General Grant there on your left
thigh, and General Robert E. Lee on your right thigh. But, Was Willie Nelson ever in the service?" Just Sayin...RJS
