65 and older are exempt here. Hunting and fishing except salt water. Have to check with wildlife people in NJ.

In Nebr veterans and over 65 fishing license is $5.

CT is 65 and over free,but still have to buy 5 dollar trout stamp to keep trout or salmon.

I just checked with our Fish And Game Department and if you are over the age of 16 but less than 70, you NEED a fishing license in NJ. You also have to register as a saltwater angler and carry the registration card with you while fishing saltwater. That registration is free. 100% disabled vets have to purchase a one time license in person only at one of the State Hatcheries if younger than 70 years old. I just saw I had to renew a saltwater registration that ran out many, many years ago, renewed in just a minute or two online. These are NJ requirements, can't speak on other states.

Here as a 65 yold resident you don't need a general hunting or fishing license.
