Used to be ah monster big salvage yard on the west bound side of SR71 in LaGrange rite across from the Chrysler Dealership. Rail Road actually cut that yard in half rite thru' the middle. Many fun times scrounging that Yard az long az you did it in the spring before the weedz got up. Once that happened you were done for the year 'cuz you could walk the rows knowin' they were full or old iron and couldn't see any of 'um. Yeah I've got that car habit too along with fishon' an huntin', Jer

Fished a club tournament Saturday 5/16 on Fayette County Lake near LaGrange, TX. This is a small power plant lake that has slot limits so we fish paper tournaments using state provided weight charts. Tremendous storm Friday night but stopped with the rain and lightening just before our 6:30 AM launch. Caught this girl early afternoon on a Texas rigged stick worm. 20.5" at 6.06 lbs paper weight. Partner and I had two five fish limits totaling 32.21 lbs. Beautiful day on the water if a bit breezy. Had the weirdest thing happen. Caught a 19" bass and when my partner laid the net down it spit out a mangled baby bird. Gross, but she was still hungry and ate my worm.

Nicely done, congrats
Funny about the bird. My PB walleye @ 26.5” had a fat, 10” bullhead in it’s belly. The tail was still in her mouth, just past her teeth. Probably didn’t have to eat for days, but couldn’t resist my crappie minnow on a floating jig as we drifted past. At times they just bite out of instinct, I guess.

Lots of fish gorge when they feed. I've caught Largemouth with a bluegill tail in their throat, or puking shiners all over my boat. In saltwater Bluefish and Stripers when feeding on sandeels or baby bunker or shad, will spew them all over the boat.
