Most of you know how I feel about any thing throwing a wake in a no wake zone so I’m gonna refrain at this time. Same goes for our fellow boaters throwing wakes on our fellow anglers. You might want to fire a flare in their direction next time to make sure they stay safe, you understand.

Here in Pa. if you were born after 1982 you must take and pass a boater safety course if you're operating a personal watercraft or a boat over 25 hp. This doesn't mean everyone will act responsibly. A-holes will be a-holes. Actually after a second look everyone, regardless of age, must take the class for a PWC.

Hi Bggent204,
You should listen to Spiritof27, if you are planning to take a gun with you. That's the worst idea in the world. It will do nothing but get you in trouble. He could end up shooting you. All he needs to tell the law officers is that you came there to kill him. I was in fear of my life, look he brought a gun with him! Please think about that before you walk out that door.

My solution wouldn't be a gun. It would be a cordless drill with about a 1 1/2 inch holesaw.

A boater safety course is a good thing but boating with courtesy and common sense would be nice. Drivers ed worked till graduation.

We have mandatory boating courses here also.Unfortunately they have devolved into 1 day (give us your money, here's your certificate) BS instructions. Dad bought a 26ft boat when I was 9,when I was 11 he said pass the Power Squadron course and you can run the boat. So I did.19 years I bought a 28footer,and took tthe USCG Aux course, only because it was the responsible thing to do. Things change I guess. That's me on the right.

I think Pa.'s at least semi serious about the course. There's a 75 question exam and you must get 80% to pass. Passing a course won't make everyone behave responsibly but it might help a little, Hopefully.

Having grown up in pa.on mon. River and then living in n.j. For 35 yrs I am a firm believer in boating secret before I bought a boat in n.I I took the capt.class that taught you everything you need to know at the time cost 1000 dollars and was 8 weeks long on weekends it's the one thing I think anyone with a boat 18 ft. And powered 50 to or bigger should have to take they teach every you would needtokn

That's a good point Z, a long range rifle and hide in the trees would be better.1200 yards shot no one will know. Good idea lady.
