I really don't care. But then most of my rods are black, white, or grey. Pretty much any color matches with black, white, or grey.

Being an adherent to my design education, big fan of FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION..... the Bauhaus mantra.

As for SEARCHING for butt-ugly ? I guess we each have our own process ! ......and yes, I know the next lines in that song, Able Man.
Now THERE is a major quandary !!

It can be so easy to get distracted by the end-cap displays, that you forget to check out the functionality of tool you are shopping for ! LOL...been there, done that... two divorces..... thanks, I'm done...14 yrs now, no regrets, I have friends.

That's why most all my fishin and huntin apparel are CAMO. If I'm outdoors doin either, I usually wear camo. When someone ask me, "I thought you were goin fishin not huntin." I always tell them "I'm huntin fish."

I’m with you saw can’t go wrong with camo it matches everything if the people can even see you🤣🤣 I hope they can’t I like it that way.. couldn’t care less about what things look like I’m about the functionality and quality

No bright colors on the water. Shirts, pants, rods, boats you can’t help. You not gonna trade a red ranger for a sky blue canoe. Fish have eyes.

I believe the looks may be a confidence builder just like your favorite lure color.

I am that way. When I have something that matches I feel more comfortable and confident. That goes for fishing gear as was how I dress.

Well you boys, must know that dressing for the days activity is paramount to a great day. look good, feel good catch good. Now that being said I like to get in touch with a more sensitive side of my manhood when I dress for a fishing trip. I start with my briefs usually something wild in color like blaze orange or pink or yellow anD OF course some loud sox . I like sox with fish on them but I have the cutest pair with bannanas on them and another with peaches oohh boy these are my FAV.. this sets a positive mood relaxes me and I can concentrate on the fishing. my outer gear will be under armour and definitely Brightly colored. I just love the how they look on me.i have a rod to match my appearal. the bright colors work as asignaling device in a survival situation too.my rod and reel will match my clothes . I have orange yellow pink white bright blue rods.and undies to match each one. think about how happy I am ALL DAY

I prefer to buy full combos but I have a few rods that are different colors and brands than the reel. But I do get kinda picky on one thing.... I do like to have matching baitcasters and Spinner combos. For some reason they just look sexy sitting next to each other when you have matching baitcasters and Spinner combos.

My wife always or most of the time tells me to change before we go out because I can't match colors or care if I have checkered shirt and striped pants as long as I am comfortable. As far as matching fishing gear, first function, quality and price. I can buy this reel here but not like any rod or price they offer. Later found just the rod I like for the right price, who cares about color except bright flashy colors that scare me much less the fish seeing it swinging in the air. As long as they are balanced and function well together and fit my desired need. I may still spend a lot of money but I am happy with my purchase.

Well Now , if we must ? I’ve always preferred brightly colored rods . I think yellow or those orange carrot sticks (I get excited just thinking about that) are just Darling 😘. The brighter the better baby , they All Float my boat . But that sea foam green from St Cru sex , oooohhh that’s so hot in my hand . Oh yes I can’t wait to hold it. And if I can find a Red one that’s really Stiff well then it’s game over I’ll just buy it . It’s a fact boys fish like brightly colored matching rods and reels , but especially the rods . Long and stiff ohhhh soooo exciting to Shop. I love the spring time , it’s shopping heaven . Great topic .❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Well Now , if we must ? I’ve always preferred brig... (show quote)
