I'm have a lasting but like my Lews better.
I am a big ABU fan but the lower priced ones that they sell now just aren't all that great. I think I would try a Kastking. I have a couple and like them. They are not as long-lasting as some of the other reels but they don't cost a hundred dollars either. The thing about the better Kastkings is that you are not paying for the name and so get more quality for less money. The two kastkings that I have are smooth as silk and cast very well.
I have 2 low profile abu’s and I am a diehard ambassadeur user and have been and always will be a user. I don’t recommend the low profile models. I use their round reels and always will. Some say they’re not Swedish made but they are, I can prove that. Some of mine are still in the boxes with a dated sales slip, made in Sweden. Not gonna say your Walmart variety is, don’t buy reels there. Anyway, best reel for you could well be Lews or Shimano.
Hi, well there's a lot of sweet replies, except I didn't see one from anybody that knew anything about Royal Legend reels. I'm a SoCal tournament bass fisherman. I have won with these reels. Currently 8 on the boat plus another dozen different Kast King reels. I've used their rods and reels for going on 2 years. Best brand for your dollar on the market. Nothing negative about Shimano, Abu, Bass Pro, Quantum, Daiwa, etc. but what you get for that dollar. Ask Brent Chapman of the Bass Pro Tour why he uses Kast King.
Honestly, I’ve never heard of the reels. Never!
Check out Bass Pro shop they have quite a few
I have 2 kastking Royale legend “Elite” not Royale Legend. There is a difference. I. Have had Abu Garcia, Shimano, own many Lew’s also. I just love the Royale Legend Elite ! Can’t be beaten for the price . Good luck!
