Actually, there is a cure. Set yourself a fishing goal. Number of fish, or number of bass, etc. Don't set a goal for time spent. Buy into your goal as a healthy improvement in life. You pursue goals. Go do it.

Okay guys I get the idea . wind wasn't blowing so I skipped the work and put boat in. wind came up in an hour didn't catch any fish came home no motor on boat wife always says use a paddle wife went with me after watching may give in on a trolling motor keep Your distance stay fishing
Just think of all the work hooking up the boat loading all the gear hauling the fish in then cleaning them almost to tired to eat
Saw, if that pilgram finds out how much fun he's missed out on he won't have time to post.

Ed I used to be the same way, every bit of overtime I could get, never home then all of a sudden my kids grew up and left and so did my wife. A lesson learned the hard way. just sayin.

Ain't that the truth. Wish I could get out. With this virus stuff and takin care of the wife, I don't know when I'll be able to get out again.

She’ll be all healed up and you’ll be out there and the virus debacle will be history. Hang in there Saw. It’s a pain for all of us. I just hope Mrs. Saw recovers quickly. The rest of it is kinda frivolous.

Absolutely brother. That's a fact.
I never heard any man on his death bed say "I wish I hadn't fished so much".

Me either. When my Grandaddy was diein in the hospital from a heart attack he ask my Mom where I was. With tears in her eyes, she said "He 's out fishin today." He smiled at her and said "That's nice, I'm glad he is". He died later before I got back, but he understood. He had his heart attack after I had already left the house and that was WAY before cell phones. Wouldn't have had cell service there any way prolly.
Up here in PNW, locked and loaded for fishing, but our fishing seasons are all on hold due to limits of "social distancing". When Covid-19 gets under control, there's a likely tidal wave afoot from all the boat launches. One good thing about it: the fish not being caught right now may make spawn, and in a couple more years we'll have a boom year or two. Just Guessing.
