Old Salt has a couple of good suggestions …… No Hurry would be a good one because I like to relax and get some air when I'm fishing No Hurry is what the ol barge will be doing.

Oldsalt Happy Hooker sounds like a good name for a fishing boat.

CamT suggested Golden Oldie which is perfect as well because the ol barge is trimmed with gold seats .

Maynurd …. The BASSTURD is great for a Bass Boat.

WV Mike ……..Bouncer is good because of the ol barge tri hull will be bouncing.

Mister Twister …… enimsti Its Mine spelled backward makes sense too.

GaryH……………….Chain Reaction is catchy and is fit for the 4 cycle on it

Buck B...…………..Hope Floats sounds good because anyone in it will too.

Ruby F...…………….Or-E-Gone Fishing is where I primarily target fish so its appropriate.

Thanks for all the ideas everyone. Hopefully some of you are out fishing today.

Please give me your gut instinct thoughts please. I will not be offended by anything. I appreciate any and ALL input. I acquired a 1968 Larson Shark or Runabout... Lapline Model 16+ foot Open Bow Outboard Boat. My primary use will be for Fishing. Please give me ideas what any of you would name it if you owned it.

Well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I don't think I would name it for awhile. I would wait to see if it catches fish, and if it runs o.k.
I haven't seen a Homelite motor for a while. Do you know who made them? It looks like it might have been made by Chrysler. I think this boat might give you something to do during your downtime. Good luck with it, and keep us posted. A tri-hull is pretty rough riding.

Richard Fisher, the founder of Boston Whaler

Boats purchased the engine from Homelite Division of Textron, Inc., Originally built by Lou Fageol who adapted a small auto engine into a high-performance marine engine. Homelite marketed the engine from 1962 until 1966 Fisher bought the motor.

The engine was based on the Crosley auto/industrial 750cc OHC (overhead cam) and was Homelite that developed further then Sold it to Fisher Pierce who refined it further to sell on 16' Boston Whalers.

4 cycle state of the art for boats. Fuel Efficient and less detrimental to the water and air.

Ah, someone that knows a bit about Crosleys.

The Crosley was 44 C.I. 2 1/2 bore X 2 1/4 stroke, 26.5 HP. The Homelite upped it to 59/60 C.I., 2 3/4 bore, 2 1/2 stroke, 55 HP. Later sold to Fisher Peirce, marketed as Bearcat.

Good efficient engines, but very heavy, in comparison to all of the two strokes, of the day.

For 21+ years, I sold parts and service, for Crosley cars, and a few related boat engine parts, also. I'm in the process of building, 3 Crosley engines, now.

Chrysler/West Bend, had nothing to do with them, at all.

Open Bow. Duel Ice Chest or Live Well with central Drain. I’m really excited to get her on the water. 👍🏻👍🏻

I would maybe give it some time. I had an open bow tri-hull for awhile Glastron. I thought it was a stable fishing platform.
