Still learning how to work this forum so if I don't get back to with a thanks or something it's still because I haven't figured it out yet
Can't say I've fished MO. Used to pass through weekly when I drove big truck years ago!
Welcome to the FS SS! I’m only a saltwater fisherman in NC so I’ll be of no help. There are others here who will I’m sure!
Split, what size line you got on that reel?
120 pounds. When I did my fishing was at night after we set the sea bass traps, the two of us would find a ledge and fish for grouper for money. 4 bucks a pound good money back in the 90s. We'd use electric reels. not as much fun but you can sure get um in the boat real fast. Most all time there eyes wound pop out of there head cause we'd bring them up so fast. Most grouper there would be between 20 t0 40 pounds. Some times we get 2 at a time

Lived in Hampstead NC for 10 years. 4 years of it I did commercial fishing out of Sneads ferry for sea bass and on the off season I'd make my money blue crabbing. Talk about lots of work but any way. Didn't do much bank fishing. Mostly in a boat off shore. Beautiful place
