Welcome split shot. Cant help you up there but someone will be along to help. What size is that reel you are holding. Looks like a 80.
Welcome split shot, glad to have you here.q
Hey S.S, welcome to the stage
I wish I had your problem, I can't seem to catch a damned thing. What is it you're trying to catch? And what's wrong with trout? By the way, what kind of trout are you catching? Pictures please. We love photos, don't we guys and gals?
Forgot to ask. What are you catching those trout on that you're trying to catch something else on? Maybe I'll try whatever that is.
Won't be using nothing that size here. Got reed of all my reels and what not. So I could relocate. Never paid attention to size of reel. Not good with numbers and names more interested in catching fish. We mostly used electric reels with a 9 aut reel. Vary little bend

Good Mornin', SS, welcome to the Forum. You live where I wish I lived. Well,,,,,,,,,,, not really, maybe I could bring Lake Taneycomo up here in MN. SS, you are living on the best trout hole in the U.S. I absolutely love that place. I not sure where on the lake you are fishing and the rules and regs change according to where you are fishing, so, be careful there. The only area that I fished was up by the Dam where it was artificial only, catch and release, with a slot. I can't remember what the slot was, but I know I never kept any, I would not have any way, slot or not. Glad you are on board.
Split, why not go on the other side of the dam and fish Table Rock? One of the best fishing holes in the country.
There many good guides in the area. Go out with them a couple of times and they will show you the ropes. PM me for names if you like.
Good to be aboard your boat Flyguy. My Lucky lady and I went for a drive by Bull Sholes Dam and wanted to try some fishing for walleye. There wasn't any room any were except one little spot so we tried our luck. Found out why. We both lost our lure there. I bet they were laughing. Oh maybe I would of done the same. But not to couple of old folks like us.
Thanks for the advice. Going to learn the hard way:-) So much funnier and cheaper.
