That is simple question to answer. The reason I wore heavy leather cowboy boots and not water shoes or flip flops is because I live in Ohio. It's still only in the 40s with the water temperature not much warmer. Believe me I would love nothing more than to put my shorts, UV shirt, and flip flops and go fishing in my kayak but it's still just to cold to be doing that at this particular time of the year

Your fine Lol...I often forget about weather differences in other states as well. O did wear my cowboy boots because I only have two pair of tennis shoes and one of them are extremely thin cloth and the other pair are all white. I have several pair of boots so I just naturally grabbed what I have that I didn't mind getting dirty. But I realized very quickly that they were a bad choice Lol! Good luck out there and tight lines brother.

Hey Aa, I invested in a pair of heavy socks and rubber boots for this cooler weather fishing. Summer time, moccasins work for me.

My neighbor goes barefoot in the summer. I am just waiting to hear him yell one day when he gets a fin in the foot.
