I finally got to take my new kayak out for it's first voyage. No fish to report but I couldn't have been happier with the time spent on the water. But I want to have a little fun with all of you guys. An old man who is very close to me said I should name my boat ( even if it is a kayak). So I am going to let you guys pick the name of it. I am curious to see what everybody comes up with.

MF. What? For Mike Fink. I know ships and boats supposed to be named after women or whimsies. But it's a kayak, so............... You're from Ohio somewhere ( you should tell us where in your location in your profile ) so you oughta know who Mike Fink was. If you don't, google him. And you can tell the wife "I'm takin that MF out again today dear".

I like it!!! Yes I am from Ohio but I from a small, one street light farm town in Ohio called Arlington. But I will definitely keep that name in mind for my kayak. Thank you for the idea Spirit!

"My Lady"

As in - It's time to take My Lady out... Or... I need to spend more time with My Lady... Or... My Lady looks good in the water...

Hmmmm that's actually a really good one. As a guy who loves to play jokes on my wife I like the thought of using My Lady and making her think I am sweet talking her then going to my kayak. Before anyone freaks out I have been married to her for 15 years amd I do that kind of stuff to her all the time. She has a great sence of humor. Thanks for the idea Canuckus

Aaron going by your pic your next investment might want to consider water proof pants and boots. Those jeans are going to get soaked from the paddling and works its way right down to your feet. Being in Ohio the weather might get warm enough to get out but that cold water will ruin your day.

A name for your yak is tough. ( Just Reeling ) comes to mind. I have yet to name mine and its been over a year.

Lol Plumbob. I actually do have waterproof pants and boots I just didn't wear them. But yes my jeans did end up getting a little wet and cold that day. But I have to also take a second to defend Spirit. I just changed where I am from on my profile right after he said that so that wasn't his fault. But I do like the name you gave me for my kayak and I will definitely keep it in mind . Now let me return the favor and give you a name......( Straight Bob-in)

Just be careful... One lazy moment and it's time to buy flowers...

"My Lady gets harder to carry every year"

"My Lady doesn't handle like she used to"

"Thought it was a good idea at the time, but starting to have second thoughts about My Lady"

After fifteen years (congrats by the way) she might take those statements the wrong way

Chuckle... You noticed the jeans and footwear... I was all like "why is there a mountain Dew in the beer holder?"

I like that ( Straight Bob-in ) Aa, now its where to put a name that it will stay on. That salt water eats up decals like you wouldn't believe.

As for Spirit it was just a chance to pull his chain. My chain gets a yank now and then.

It's what's in that Dew bottle is the question? Straight Dew or a mix of Jack and Dew.

I promise it's Dew in that bottle... I wish I could say otherwise but the area I was in is heavily patrolled by The game warden and I didn't want to take the risk of getting a major fine on the maiden voyage. However a good fishing trip with my wife and lots of beer is definitely in my future. Beer will definitely be a must especially if I am going to bring my wife with me.
