I have to agree with Plumbob on the expense stuff. But another thing to think about is that a kayak can get into places where a bass boat can't go and it is very quiet. Quite is a great thing to not spook the fish. Sure you can rack up a receipt for a kayak that would give a decent used bass boat a run for it's money with extras like motors, fish Finders, special rod holders and paddles ECT ECT. But from my experience from fishing on both a kayak and boat ( very little in a kayak), a kayak dose have a lot more advantages that a boat just can't do. But again I don't have a lot of experience (yet) on a kayak so don't take my full word on it.

You are so right on that quiet approach. I have glided into some areas lowered that 5 lb anchor and if not on the first cast, soon after getting hits and catches. Even a trolling motor will spook them away. Sure you can toss for distance where the disturbance didn't happen, But why would you when you are right on top of them?

The nice thing with a bass boat is you can get to where you're going in a hurry and then use the electric trolling motors for the quietness. Bass are particularly boat noise shy. You would also be able to keep more gear and take along a friend. However, a boat does have all of the additional expenses: registration, taxes, gas, trailer tires, etc. A friend has an aluminum bass boat with live well, nice fishing seats, two motors a 15 H.P. 45 H.P. and nice Minkota, and two fish finders and we can take a ton of gear in it and it was under 3,000 used.

I love that name!!!!!! I may have to use that. Thank you fishing fool

Aaron I meant bass are not boat shy. I have two pro-bass circuit fishing friends and they catch anywhere from 50-100 every time they fish and run within 100 feet with the gas motor and then go to the electric trolling motor. I have fished with one of them and he gets into areas with his boat that are unbelievable as he does not care if a big log is scraping his boat. He always says he is polishing it!! I have found out it is more presentation for the big bass.

We'll keep me informed on how it goes adding extras, and if U think it is all worth it. I've got two Rivers and alot of small lakes around my area. I think a kyack would be perfect for. Hope enjoy it. Also, I'm a little middle heavy and just had back surgery in November. How hard is it getting in and out of the Kyack

If you are getting in and out from a dock no problem depending on the height. From land can be difficult on the knees and back if you have had problems. Imagine getting out a compact car with out the door to help you up vs a pick up.

[I have a Feel Free kayak that is the same color. I named my kayak "Sabby T". My wife's name is Sabrina and she bought me the yak. My son when he was little called my wife Sabby T. Be careful taking that color yak inshore fishing around marshes. I got bumped twice underneath. Color resembles a seal, dolphin, etc. Nearly dumped me out of the yak.

What waters were you in when you got bumped? We have gators occasionally here and shark have been caught as well in our brackish waters. Always look before I release a fish.

I went Wade fishing a few times in Tampa Bay. We always wore shoes, drug our feet to spook the Ray's. We always used an truck inner tube and put a cooler in the middle for our drinks, and to.put our fish in so as not to attract the Sharks. It's still a little unnerving lol

Blue moon is a good beer but if you really want to treat your self to something special you should try Kentucky Bourbon Ale. Here in Ohio we have microbreweries all over the place and some of them are ok. I personally am not much of a wheat beer or IPA guy but Kentucky Bourbon Ale is a fantastic beer to drink!

Alright Aaron just went and got the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale 4 pack also got the Kentucky Coffee Barrel Stout 4 pack. Gone to give it a try. Hope the name doesn't let me down. LOL

Please let me know how you feel about the beer. With that particular type I have noticed that the colder you have it, the more amazing it will taste.

As in any beer for me. The colder the better.
