Plumbob, that's a nice looking Yak you have there. I know I have mentioned getting one before but have not really looked much into it. I like the one you have. How heavy is it? what model is it, I guess I can research it myself. Thank you.

Bonafide SS 127. 100LBS with gear 75lbs empty. Pulling it up on the dock its about 3' high from the water and I anchored and attached a pully because with wet boots on the dock just a little slippery.

Named my boat “The FLIPIN Frog” because I caught a bull frog with a frog lure, tossing it into lily pads.

Nice looking set up Blackbart. Being a former Marylander where are you dipping that boat? It looks a little small for the Chesapeake.

Most of the time I use Piney Run park, in Sykesville Md. Fish finder as a map of the lake. Haven’t been out this year because I hurt my back. Soon as I get well, I’m going the first good day. Thanks for the comment! I’ve got a lot of money tied up in it.

Nice place to go from what my boys tell me. One is a golfer there in Sykesville and the other hits the Chesapeake for the rock. Me we can only keep the trout here in NC.

Hope you get well soon, I know only to well about back problems.

Aaron going by your pic your next investment might want to consider water proof pants and boots. Those jeans are going to get soaked from the paddling and works its way right down to your feet. Being in Ohio the weather might get warm enough to get out but that cold water will ruin your day.

A name for your yak is tough. ( Just Reeling ) comes to mind. I have yet to name mine and its been over a year.

Aaron and PB, except for the boots, the jeans are fine. I wear a pair of fishing pants that unzip to make them like shorts. I got them at Academy. They dry out quick and they’re comfortable. Have you fallen out yet? It’s hell getting back in.
Looks like a great fishing yak. Have you installed an anchor trolley? They sure help if the wind picks up. Just sayin.

Actually hacksaw no I haven't installed an anchor trolley yet. I have an anchor with a rope that I attach to one of the side handles but in the future I will get the trolley system. I also plan on getting things like electronics, trolling motor and better electronics. But until then I just have to use what I have and save for my extremely long wish list of things I want.

Aa, consider 2 anchors, one on each side. Sometimes the current will not allow you to sit properly facing your target area. I have two 5 lb weights one per side and works great.
