Cutting braided line.
My Rapala scissors suck. The line just folds over and gets frayed. I imagine each pair probably performs differently.
agree on the boomerang clippers

I spent an hour trying to find these to buy with no luck. Made phone calls and searched the internet. Went to their website and tried to call some of the companies listed, no luck. Any ideas?
What are you referring to?

Berkley has a nipper style that works ok.They also have a battery power hot line cutter ,never tried. I also have a pair of plastic bent needlenose pliers with ceramic cutter jaws that work good.Got'email at wallyworld,Mustad brand I think.
Kids' Fiskars work fine for me. Blunt tip saves you getting pricked inadvertently when you stick your hand in the tackle bag.
Fiskars scissors, I buy them on E-Bay for abut $4 if your buy 6 at a time. Great scissor.
Welcome David to the stage! My Buck which I always keep razor sharp does the trick for me!

Hey pink, lm with you, the best I've used is my pocket knife, that i keep razor sharp. If you do get a frayed end, you cN use a cigarette lighter run it over the flame quickly and melt the frayed part off. You can also use a small amount of s-glue to smooth it out. But that sharp knife to me works best.

I agree with a sharp pocket knife. Always works for me. Rule #1, always carry a knife.

I know that rule and agree saw....my buck is on my belt always, fishing or not!
Might mention I use a 6ft/6lb. leader on my braid so when I have a hang up I wrap the braid around my closed knife and pop the leader.

I use my lighter to cut it, melt it, and finish off my knots. It works.
I have tried many different so called braid cutters and have determined KVD 5” split ring pliers to be the best. They are inexpensive, less than $7, and work exceptionally well for braid, mono,& fluorocarbon. I have a pair in each of my many tackle boxes, boat, truck, and Flyfishing vests and on my tying work bench.
