Seriously, those look like scissors for toddlers and wouldn’t cut paper let alone braid! Convince me. Video them cutting braided line and post it.

I find that a sharp knife works best.

The best I’ve found are bulldog cutters. Absolutely the best!

Are you kidding me! I must have 10 different pairs of scissors “especially made to cut braid” and none, not one pair work as good as what i just witnessed. Talk to you later as I am off to Family Dollar! Thanks!!!

Years ago i bought a small pair of scissors at Tackle Direct (NJ) which work well on braid with tension. It also has a 90 degree bend in the tip for creating separation on split rings. Nifty little tool. Don’t know the brand name. Only issue is rust due to salt water exposure. I solve the rust problem with regular cleaning & lubricating with Ballistol - a tremendous product dating back to WW2

Correction - ballistol actually dates back to 1905, developed in Germany for cleaning firearms. It has become my all purpose lubricant replacing WD40.

You can also find the mini shears, which work better, in the sewing section

I either use my pocket knife or if I'm in the boat I have a pair of Rapala scissors that I have used for many years.
