Welcome TeMo. I still fish with many of my old rods and reels. Was raised with Mitchell as our go to brand reels. I still fish Johnson silver minnows, Daredevil spoons and many of the old standards. I am a veteran also and fished every country that I went to. A lot of the new lures nowadays are all smoke and whistles to me. I do use some of the new techniques but have found most times the old standers still works

Basic fishing has not been lost. Still can just use a bobber, worm or minies on a pole. Just like the Andy griffin ,Mayberry rfd Show.

First thing I would like to say is THANK YOU FOR WATCHING OVER MY FAMILY WHILE YOU WERE HUNGRY, SLEEPY, SICK, HOT AND COLD!! I still use my Johnson Reel and my Ambassador 5000 Reel my Dad bought me at a Rexall Drug store for 18 dollars in 1957. Johnson Spoons have probably caught more fish than any other lure made. Soon to be a 100 year old company. These guys will teach you the new techniques. Man I remember how hard it was to put those pork rinds on those spoons and the glass container they came in was rather rank!!

Yes . The younger generations now have Wacky rigs , Ned rigs , Sencos , Dropshots and Finesse fishing . None of these are new . Just cool names fir old tricks . But that's OK ' cause it's still fishin' !!! Beats the hell out of video games !!!

Some listen and some don't . I try to help but some say the old ways don't work . I say well the fish sure don't know that !

Hi, TeMo thank you for your service I to spent 22 years in the military too, but I loved fishing so much I fished in Germany, Italy, and Vietnam I dove for lobster almost every Friday. What you do not realize FixorFish is TeMo hasn’t been a member of the stage since day one. He wrote what he won’t put up with, chastised all of us, and hasn’t been man enough to leave even one response. I calls them as I sees them. Always have always will. At least you know where you stand with me. 👊

Guys we don't know TeMo's situation, true his first post wasn't the nicest I've ever seen but never know, his computer may have crashed. We never know what someone else has on their plate. just saying.
