Just get outdoor glue and a roll of carpet from Home Depot...cut it out slightly larger than board you’re gluing it on so it can wrap around all edges, then glue it without bubbles in carpet. You can try stapling it but good luck with that

These panels are all staples, the adhesive dry time was just too long, the sides are adhered. But stapling keeping it tight took a very long time and a lot of hand cramps to get a tight fit and finish.

Well it looks good sir, I hope it lasts you and your childrens children, boats are awesome. My experience with stapling was that after walking on it a few times it pulls out or the carpet rips where it’s stapled. But maybe I just had poor quality stuff.

Hmm thanks for the heads up, I do have more adhesive if it happens, I made the deck and floor removable for foam replacement as needed and wiring, so I’ll be sure to check on them when I pull it out of the water each time.

I did pretty much the same thing with my jon boat. Turned it into a bass boat. Lowes or Home Depot has indoor/outdoor carpet that's pretty cheap. That's what I used. Its easy to staple and glue to your plywood deck, and works great. There are many websites that tell you exactly how to do this. Just go to "Turn jon boat into bass boat" online and you can find all the info you need.
Nice job on the redo. When you do a project like that it allows you to enjoy the boat that much more. Rig you some type of wheels to move it.
