Sweet, good luck with it.
And to those downvoting me.... ?????? Welded boats > riveted boats.
I’ve had both.

Thank you! And yes I agree totally on that. But I scooped this one for 1200with a title and titled trailer, 8 hp outboard, trolling motor, fish finder and tons of other accessories. So I jumped on it. I know it’s definitely worth a good bit more than I have into it at this point. So I’ll fish it a couple years then sell it for a down payment on something =P

How much weight did that add to the boat?
--
by jb_1040
About 75 pounds, it sucks too cause the pond I live on only has a makeshift ramp and I have to carry the boat down about 20 yards of beach. But it’s worth it, I’m one of 3 boats on a 500 acre pond

I try to keep my boat as light as possible.

I hear that, i really wanted to level out the floor though, so although the foam under that 8 ft sheet of plywood doesn’t weigh much. That big piece of plywood is pretty heavy.

I used old road sign for my floor, it’s light weight and won’t rot.

That’s actually a really cool idea

Well I’m putting one in the back on the little gas can compartment, it wasn’t done being painted yet, and the person in front will only be my 6 year old, so I don’t want a seat base up there for him to trip on, so he will sit on the edge of his deck.

Can you tell me about the carpeting part? What did you use as a resource for learning? Where did you buy the material?
