Fishing Roddy. Welcome to the forum and fun and I also want to thank you for your service to our country. I always felt bad about the treatment the Vietnam Vets received upon their return for serving in a war they were not responsible for. For a long time many would not wear any clothing that would expose them to the venom of the idiots responsible for the horrible treatment they were subject to. Finally I saw many wearing their Vietnam hats, jackets and patches. I ALWAYS go out of my way to thank ALL Veterans for their service to our country. I spent 5 1/2 years of meetings and 6 months of active duty with the Army Reserve, served in 1960. I don't know why they called us 90 day wonders because we served 180 days and fortunately I was not called to fight for my country although I would have done so if necessary. I have successfully hunted elk and deer in the Yellowpine, Idaho area back in the late 60's, never saw any moose though and was not hunting them anyway. Good Fishing!
Fishing Roddy. Welcome to the forum and fun and I ... (show quote)

Thank you for the welcome and your service also! I never thought of or called a man in uniform a 90 day wonder. That's something an ignorant person would say!

Yes coming home from Vietnam was shocking. Don't wear your uniform off the base! Fight the VC and now I have to fight the VA!!
Fishing helps

Thank You For your Service. Thank You for Joining FS and welcome. I love Idaho..

I will tell you our favorite place in Idaho ( probably going this summer again ) is LAVA Hot Springs Idaho. Check it out. It is not real far from you. If you have pain its a great place to go. Can have Hot Springs in your Hotel Room even if you want. There is Bingo. All sorts of fun stuff for all ages. Rodeos $20 for a whole family to enter. We been going there about 35 years now. Its about 2 hours to Yellowstone.

Hi Rod,
Welcome to this Fishing Stage Site
I am a 10 to 20 % vet but nothing like you and your challenges, you are our best my friend. My wife dad lives in Coeur d'Alene and we used to get up there about every 6 mos. or so. I have not been because of a car wreak 2 yrs. ago However I want to take my bass boat this summer and fish for bass or anything. My e-mail is sjbass@stonyford.com. Drop me a contact when you have time and I am in hopes to get there this summer with the boat. We will both have to learn the waters but I assure we could get some fish and have a great time.
Thank you the many sacrifices and service to our great country you my friend are truly one in a million

Scorchy
