Morning. 43 high of 56. Sun this afternoon. Wind up to 20 mph. Putting new baseboard in a whole house this week. Yep I’m wearing my knee pads. Already replaced all the doors and caseings . Client is getting ready to sell and move to Alaska. She loves to fish and he loves to hunt and trap.

Morning all,
9:15 here, 54 with a high of 81.
When I first retired I would automatically wake up at 4am every morning. Took months to get over that. We started work at 6:30am.
Got to get to an electrical job today, been putting it off for a while.
Dreading going after all of the weeds.
Going to have to cut them down before the fire department sites me.

Hard to break that habit. I spent almost 30 years in the newspaper business. A large part of it making sure early morning papers got delivered. Been up between 4 and 6 am for over 40 years. Worked late nights as a reporter but no matter what, I'm still up very early.

I sleep in to 8 sometimes now, otherwise up by 6:30 or 7:00.
No more working in the rain or being called after midnight to come in to work.
Been call a couple of times at night after I retired, told them that I was retired. LOL.

Old habits die hard guys. I've been "retired" now for about 8 months, I still wake up every morning about 4:30, 5:00 , let the dog out to take a whiz get myself up take a whiz, lay back down now that I don't hafta get up, dog comes back in and lets me know she thinks my ears are chew-toys, and I'm up and gonna say running, but that ain't right, limping off to get my coffee. That's been my routine for about 65 years.

Worked most of my last twenty years on night shift and to this day it does not feel right to see the sun come up without thinking of crawling into bed. Don't care if I go to sleep at 8:00 the night before to get up to go fish at 4 or 5, sun up does a number on me for about the first hour or so.
