A catch for those who can not today.
Hmmm ! Verrry interesting ! Do you actually mean to tell me that I'm NOT the only one here who's permanent residence is 'Poverty Row' ? I'd been left with the distinct impression that my monthly check was a collection
of everyone else's leftover
pocket change !
'Exes' ! Why do they all think
that - "what's mine is MINE, and what's yours is MINE" ? If they're already your 'ex', then they're not entitled to SQUAT, unless it's already court-ordered ! They don 't get POOP (unless that's exactly what you WANT to give them) !
If they think otherwise, they can stick their heads in a bucket of it and take ten deep breaths !
Mmmm ! Plumbob Bond ! It
kinda has a certain ring to it !
Do you also have the secret
code ring, and how did you earn
your '00' status ?
'Tales From the Sea Side'
works; you do realize that
Herman Melville got the idea
for 'Moby Dick' from an actual event where a whale sunk the
whaling ship 'Essex' in the South Pacific in 1820 ? I'm pretty sure from your stories, jokes and
anecdotes that you could pull something together under such
a title ! Same goes for 'Strange Folks and Weird Experiences'
just from the characters here !
GO FOR IT ! YOU CAN DO IT !
You are encouraging aren't you? Bucket list may just have a new item.
You nailed it plumbob if you wrote that and even if it wasn't an original. There are certain sounds and smells that just steal the moment. The swish sound when you hit a 15 foot jumper, the smell of bacon, the cry of a loon, the snap sound of a daredevil hitting the water on the first cast. 45 and rainy here today. You started the day on a positive vibe for me.

So true gh. My favorite smell is that fresh cut lawn in the spring. Favorite sound, the Eastern Whip-poor-will Can not come fast enough.
Fresh cut lawn. Good one too. Funny how the smallest things can stay with us. I guess that's where stop and smell the roses comes from, right?
Use that saying all the time to the Mrs on our walks. Doesn't do any good she speed walks.
Some people have an agenda that doesn't allow for stopping or slowing down. Took me awhile to figure that out myself. That's why I love fishing. It takes my mind to a different place.

Know where you are coming from. Skunked this morning but just enjoyed being out on the water in the yak with no place to go in a hurry.
I think I've got to wait until March to get the kind of conditions I need here to enjoy it. When I was younger, I would fish in all kinds of weather. Not anymore.
One of the scents of spring that
are most reminiscent to me is lilacs; we had a lilac bush (tree?)
in our front yard, and as soon
as it bloomed, mom would trim
a few buds and put them in a
vase on the kitchen table ! Seemed like it freshened the whole house ! Believe me, as
good a housekeeper as she
was, that house needed a good
freshening after being closed in
for most of the winter with three smokers and six kids !
