A catch for those who can not today.
Liked the story; message wasn't intended as a comment on it,
just stating the difference in fisheing preferences ! Oh, and
I'm hardly an illegal, whether it's 'green card' or fishing you were referring to ! (LOL !)
You lost me Big A. illegal, green card ? where did you see those refs?
Had to do with your comments
to Gordon about being a 'catch and eat' guy and the remark
about illegals; wasn't sure how
you meant it, so I just covered
all the bases just to be on the
safe side ! If there's any further confusion, see other postings
under 'NORMAL' ; should give a little insight regarding my
thought processes and/or
sense of humor !

He had to fish through the illegals (under size fish) to get the keeper.
Glad that's been clarified ! Still,
I've noticed that a lot of them
'other' illegals aren't always legal fishermen, either ! (Hello ? Fish and Game ? I'd like to report some fishing violations,
please !)

Thanks G, took the words right out of my mouth.
Its the opposite of what the Customs Agents do. They fish through the legals to get to the illegals.
Good Morning rhyme with reason! Right On PB

Thanks so much for a beautifully written tale. We all were able to visualize every detail of your story and feel like it could be happening to us. Good work, thanks for all the pictures it brought to mind.

That's why I left it with out a tale of what I did. To each their own ending. Working on another will be out in March.

You are welcome, true stories are easy to write when I can re live them and visualize what really happen as I think back.
I mentioned putting another together for March. After that I want to gather intel on deep sea fishing. Seeing I never experience that, got to go with what I read on here.
Say, PB; You talkin' about
deep-sea bottom-fishing like
for cod, haddock, etc., or sport
fish like tuna, marlin, sword-fish, mahi mahi ? Best way to write about it is to get your butt out there and DO it ! I DON'T recommend the 'Old Man and
the Sea' routine in your 'yak;
more like a 'party boat' (is that
the right term for your area ?)
for bottom-fishing or a charter
for sport-fishing so's you can
write from first-hand
experience ! If I had the funds,
I'd be looking for tarpon, mahi mahi, large 'reds' and snook !
Are any of those species found anywhere near you, or only
further south ? I know charters aren't cheap, but I've never heard of party boats doing other than bottom-fishing; since you obviously have fishing buddies, you could band together to share the cost, as most of them will
take three or four clients per
trip, and a half-day usually runs about five hours and costs just over half a full-day trip !
So ! What's your book about ? Autobiography (The Life and Times of Plumbob') ? - 'Tales
from the Sea-Side' ? - 'Weird Folk and Strange Experiences on the
Water' ? - Inquiring minds want
to know !
Key word there Big A is " funds ". If I were to write a book it wouldn't be an Autobiography to many exes would want royalties.
Life and times would be a spy novel so that's out, Big brother would be at my door.
Tales from Sea-Side that could be doable.
Weird Folk and Strange Experiences on the water still gathering intel but possible.
