Great stuff Bands! Looks like the Manasquan side of the inlet. Have you had any luck on the pt pleasant beach side?

I never fish 🎣 in Point Pleasant Beach because of the lack of free parking.

Went fishing in Manasquan Inlet this afternoon on a cold, sunny day with a nor’easter small craft advisory and incoming tide. Ocean was very rough with no surfers. Few boats were on the water and few fishermen were on the jetty. Two spear fishermen shot 3 blackfish and a striped bass. Oystercatchers, osprey, loons, cormorants and gulls were nearby. A seal pup was sleeping on the beach when I arrived and still there when I left. I reported it to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine, NJ. Caught, tagged and released 2 30” bluefish to 9 lbs with a very old #2 stainless steel Japanese metal squid during the early bite. Many big blues were caught over the fence. I took lots of photos.

Enjoyed the photos, well done! Hope the little seal is OK. Fishing here in S.C. haven't experienced any rude moments fishing on the piers or other public areas but then of course, this is the south where manners still exist.

Miss those early days April fishing in the Chesapeake as the chopper blues arrived. We trolled using steel line with a 16 oz sinker and they still jumped 3 - 5 feet out of the water when hooked. It's a fishing sight you never forget!

You’re right. When I went fishing 🎣 in SC at Black’s Camp, everyone was polite and respectful. Southern hospitality is real.

Great photos once again bands! The bluefish looks healthy. Any idea of the sea temp? Be careful out there on those jetty's although I believe you are. Surprised the divers are in the inlet on the moving tide.

. 52 degrees. Caught nothing in 4 of 5 trips to Manasquan Inlet this year. Water is still too cold 🥶. Next week should be good on the new moon 🌑. Too many spear fishermen in the inlet.
