I live in the land of hard water. I soak the shower head and sink faucets but my tankless water heater is the biggest project. I flush it about every 18 months. It takes an hour to do it right. I use a 5-gallon bucket with a small pump and 4 gallons of vinegar.

Been there Jack
I broke down and spent $4500 on a water softener, zero hard water deposits, we used to have to do toilets every few days and scrub off a hard water line, now I just use a brush every day or two and it's good for weeks.

I got all his fishin stuff, big tackle box ,rods and reels . When i went into the military in '71 it was in the garage. When i came back from overseas in '73 it had dissapeared. Not sure what happened to all of it.☹👎

Sort of like a three foot high stack of comic books I got from my grandparents neighbor, Superman and other Marvels from #1 up through a few years. When I got out of the military I was going to sell them for thousands (the #1 Superman was worth major money). I asked where my comic books were and my mom said your dad threw them away. She said she tried to stop him but he said his dad threw all his stuff away and he was going to too.

Best value is the Penn pursuit..hard to beat for $60 great HT-100 drag. I also love the BG reels i have two of the inshore and they never fail me..the Penn battle III binds up after one full day use..just got the BGMQ 3000..what a great reel..caught over 30 trout last two trips and it felt fantastic. I also use the Fin nor lethal 40 for heavy stuff..great reel for what it costs..kills the battle III..the tsunami armor is a nice reel for under $100

I did not mention Shimano..i have had all the stradic models and the sustain. Very light and cast well but with a nice fish on they seem to feel flimsy..not a fan..been a daiwa fan since 1972..
