Nice catching Fred! Especially this early in the spring.
(It must be spring Fred’s out there)
Seriously back to cold yesterday, a little better today.
Can’t wait until the green slime is over. My oak trees turn my truck green.
Warmer days are coming. Probably go 40s to high 80s overnight.
No spring -no fall- no more. .

Thanks Mark. I'm getting a late start, due to the miserable excuse for a spring. That's probably why I had good luck. The water is still pretty cold though, so they're not spawning yet. I washed my truck around 11am the other day, and by 6pm it was green.

Actually Andy I'm an Oldsmobile guy myself. 7 Cutlasses, a Rallye 350, a 442, an Omega, a Cutlass wagon, and a 2dr 98.
As far as AMC goes, the AMX was their best attempt, IMHO.

Had a nice little shakedown run at Beseck today. It wasn't quite as warm as yesterday and the
8-10 breeze was gusting to 15+, but I got out anyway. No luck with topwater or a swimbait, so it was Dinger time. I missed the first bite, probably early hookset. Caught a 2lb Largemouth skunkbuster, and then settled in. Caught 2 more cookie cutter males, and decided to shift gears. Pulled out the medium light, and the ultralight rods and went Crappie hunting. The blowdown trees were on fire. Caught 10 up to 1 pound or so. The wind was picking up so I picked up the worm rod one more time, and caught the big fish of the day, a 2lb 12oz chubby female. After that I called it a day.
Definitely a successful shakedown and first trip.

I started getting out of it when I had my bigger boat, and more so when I got the Harley. Now I hardly ride the bike anymore, and spend my free time freshwater fishing with the little boat.

I swapped a bathroom vanity for an AMC Gremlin. The design was ahead of its time. Liked Oldsmobiles and the song
Rockit 88

There's a guy that comes to car shows around here, with a blown 401 in a Gremlin. Gasser style, straight axle and all.

I have noticed a decline but I just thought it was the climate change making days shorter lol lol I figured that’s why I just got about half as much done as used to
