Looks like you’re making progress. Wives will always find something to give you their opinion on that is part of the deal when we married them lol if you get a chance, post a picture of your deck boat. I’m considering one in a few years have 2 yard ornament boats In the backyard that I have to get up and running before I can buy anything per the Wife orders good luck on your boat hunt.

I wish you were down here to buy a boat there's lots of nice motors on older boats for sale, I just bought this 16' big John boat with a 2022 50hp 4 stroke with only 25 hours on it still has 2 years warranty on it, the boat has some small leaks in it. I only paid $3000 for boat motor and trailer, he gave me the paperwork where he just paid $6700 for the new motor.
He wife just left him and he needed cash right then, I'm going put the motor on my 18' pontoon boat which I bought last year with a bad motor on it..🎣🎣

You made out like a bandit on your buy, that motor is like new and still has a warranty. Even if you sell the aluminum boat for scrap or give it away you did good. A deal like that is a once in a lifetime thing it should take you a long time to wipe that smile off your face!!!

I've already got the boat and trailer sold for $2500 just as soon as I get it over to my brother's he has a welding shop and can weld aluminum, that's my hobby when I have time buying and selling aluminum boats 🎣🎣

Still trying to buy a outboard motor or a boat with a 150 hp outboard. Found a Mercury 150hp motor for $900 looked like a good deal. Asked if he could start it up and show me it was running or have it running when I came to look at. He said he didn't know how to do that. He had a friend who worked on motors tell him he wouldn't try to start it without changing the oil. tuning it up and cleaning the carbs. I told him do that and I would come look at it. He said no he had people coming to look and he was sure one would buy it as I. Told him I wouldn't. Everyone wants me to buy their problem. Have 1 left on my list who answered my messages and has agreed to sending me a video of his motor running. Bass boat with 150 Mercury trolling motor 3 batteries 2 fish finders and trailer for $2000 this had better work out because wife getting irritated because I'm spending too much time looking for a motor

Take your time and keep looking. If they will not start the motor up or take you out on the lake to show you the motor runs fine I would not buy it.

Tell your wife a decent boat isn’t cheap, just buy a cheap one and see how much it cost you lol
