I’m not from that area, is that a major route for that area? They mentioned that there were construction going on the bridge.

This morning they said workers just patching potholes.
Reports say 30,000 vehicles on average per day πŸ‘

895's probably a parking lot with the diverted traffic. What a nightmare!

Most likely. Say, haven't you fished that section of the Patapsco from your kayak in the (recent?) past?

A striped bass that I caught, tagged and released in the Delaware River below Trenton was recaptured in the Patapsco River.

So that means it traversed the C&D Canal--that's remarkable! I didn't think there were any fish in that thing, let alone a striper. But what do I know? What was the time duration between tagging and capture?

I tagged it in the fall, then it was recaptured the next spring. I don’t know if it was a NJ resident or MD resident. lol 😝

So they had the mayday call and stopped the traffic, yet the construction workers were not warned??

I'm guessing the MDoT guys were so intent on finishing their job before A.M. rush that they rolled the dice on acting on the mayday call; I don't know, just speculating.

Watching now, there is speculation they were on break in their vehicles.

The one video out there shows their truck going in the water. No telling if they were in it or not.

Bob, the bridge is a sensitive topic in these parts with the loss of life of locals and your pic might get this thread sent to the attic. You might want to ask admin to remove it instead of getting it sent to the attic.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend anyone. It won't happen again.

Thanks Bob for removing it. I wasn't offended just didn't want to see the thread end up in the attic.
