Hello stagers,
I've tried looking up what a collector of fishing equipment is called without much success.
There was a lots advice on how to and what to collect but not the term itself.
What is a collector of fishing equipment called π€
Thanks in advance for the information.

"Fishing Tackle Collector" --- consists of all the equipment that is used in the sport of fishing, such as fishing rods, lines, hooks, and baits. I'm a Fishing Tackle Collector for around 50 years, member of the National Fishing Lure Collectors Club for over 40 years.

Fisherman or Fisherperson we all collect fishing equipment you can never have too much or maybe a fisherjunkie.
I collect old lures.Have thirty two of them, That makes me an old collector and several $$$$ poorer.
Commander, I don't think there are any boundaries, or limits! Only what your 'druthers' and pocket book allow!
For instance, the Bomber Bait Co. was started in Gainesville, TX. When the owners formed this company, they decided then none of their children would be allowed to come in and continue the company. It was first sold, I believe to the owners of Frito-Lay in Dallas, then to a consortium in Arkansas. Then an individual in Gainesville came along, gathered up hundreds of old Bomber lures which were either rejected for some reason, or simply surplus when the company moved a lot of its manufacture to injection moulding and that to Mexico! It is now owned by a group in Arkansas! As far as I can tell none of their lures are the old style ones made from wood. But I understand the 'scavanger' has done quite well with his gathering of old wooden Bombers!
I grew up in the county, married one of the partner's daughter, so had an inside look at Just the
operation. There is an organization, the NFLCC, standing for the National Fishing Lure Collectors Club. There are several branches, all across the U.S. YOU might contact them and tap that resource. 518 992-5873, or writing to P.O. Box 129 Sangerfield, N.Y. 13455
