Well, Commander, you will have to decide when you have your business cards printed.
Most folks do not know they can print on both sides of their calling card.
I printed on both sides and on the back; That I was a Servant, Storyteller, Sage, and Author! Didn't want to spread my net too wide! Just Sayin...RJS
They say the lures attract fish, I beg to differ, they attract us.

I've tried looking up what a collector of fishing equipment is called without much success.
There was a lots advice on how to and what to collect but not the term itself.

Hello Commander. I have been collecting for many years since I was a young angler tagging along with my Dad.
I just call myself a collector of memories. I have an extensive collection of lures, rods, reels and accessories that I really like. I have many of them displayed in a display cabinet and on my barn-wood wall in my garage. Photo shows some of the many lures and such in my collection. It's fun to do and sometimes you can get a good deal on EBAY if you carefully do your research. Best wishes, Mike

They go by many names:
" My Grandpa, my Dad, my Uncle, I know this Guy who lives down the street, the old Man who comes in the bait shop, J in Cleveland, and of course at any time any of us are looking in the mirror we may very well qualify, my brother, my husband/ wife, " I don't suppose they're are limits of how many pieces you have only that you have some and they are honored memorabilia that you were given, found, bought$$$, or traded for. So perhaps the name used could be , "most of us". Great question and it sure brings back some fond memories of some stuff I've got stored away that might never see water again for fear of losing/breaking that particular item. Some are just irreplaceable! πΈπΈπΈπΈπΈπΊπ²πΊπ²π
How old does a lure have to be in order to call it collectable.?
O, maybe 30 minutes, depending upon the lure. Some are headed to being collectors items years later, so some folks want to line up sooner, rahter than later.
Lure collection is just like choosing what lure the lunker bass will prefer, no one knows ahead of time. Just Sayin...RJS

The answer in my mind is ... Smart fisherman(person). Or "pro active angler"
They are never enough lures, or fishing line choices. You never know what is going to work the best so we need to try them all!. This comes from a very "girly" tomboy in high heels LOL. My husband is the one who says " don't we have enough? LOL.
