Is it a dedicated retention pond to clean up water before outfall? Beware of retention ponds if eating fish around industrial areas!

I looked this up on Google Earth and it appears that this is some sort of man-made settling pond for the industrial park. I could be wrong but it may be designed to do exactly what it's doing: catching and storing liquid industrial waste. It doesn't look like it connects to any outside waterways. Wouldn't hurt to ask the EPA, though. Don't be surprised if they say that your work pond is in compliance with the laws and that it's just too bad about the fish.

I will look into that. I have already made 1 email complaint to the Water District. They said thank you and that they would check into it. It does at the far end drain into a creek. That drains into the San Jacinto River. But it could be a settling Pond like you said. I would think of settling pond would have to be lined though? And then the sludge pumped out eventually?

Although I have seen them stock it from a fish stocking truck. This may just be a general thing that they do to try to maintain the ecosystem. Like a pond in your backyard you have to put fish in it to maintain the ecosystem.

Yeah FF there is. You haft to hike down to it and the road is usually lined with cars in the summer time. Really don't travel over that way much but occasionally drive visiting friends or family around the lake to sight see. Then you have to drive right along that section of the road. I'm sure there are more than just that one but IDK where they are. Never been down to any of them. I was down at the water just on the other side of cave rock jumpin from boulder to boulder fishin back in the early 80's and all of a sudden there was some pretty young thing laid all sprawled out layin on her back, buck naked. I'm on a boulder up above her castin a lure for trout. She didn't seem to mind, so I didn't either. I continued fishin along and went right by her and she ask if I was catchin anything and I said no ,not yet. And she said "well good luck". I just said " thanks, don't get sunburned. " We just smiled at each other and I kept goin on down the shoreline fishin. Didn't catch a thing that day, but the view sure was pretty.

Check for a local ascs office in your area. They can send off your sample for lab testing. They can also do soil samples . It's a county agricultural office.

Could be stocked with mosquito minnows in stead of spraying. Someone is maintaining it.

Our cabin was on Cochise cur.
Sad to see the forest where we explored as kids completely gone.
The whole ridge and the trout pond desert now.
Yes I just got my license for the year and will be fishing the delta for strippers this weekend!

We rented a rowboat at angora. 1 was 13 and he 14 years old. My brother in the front of the boat, I’m rowing.
Fine young naked beauty on the rocks sunning herself, i rowed my brother silently at a high rate of speed right on up to the rock where she lay.
His eyes popped outta his head and so did Hers!!!
His face Red!
Hers White!
We laugh about it now but he was mad at me for a long time!
Rowboats n Lemonaid!

I just might take you up on that!
If you look on the map, JACKSON lake is not accessible by road. We hiked in to it from the catfish lake.
There’s a rock wall at one end. Huge browns!
No One fishes it because you have to walk in.
So beautiful up there!!

Not sure where it is then, I'll look it up. Guess I was thinking of Jackson meadows or is that the one you mean? I haven't fished that lake either.
