Way better than finger nail polish or spray paint. In my opinion
The red , white, and black Powder I got from harbor freight fairly cheap and in a good size container. The other colors I have not so cheap ,got them from the pro shop. In a 1/4 of the size container for twice as much. I think it is pro cure powder paint. And the harbor freight stuff works as well as the other.

That's the same source we use. HF only has a couple colors but they are way cheaper.

Wow this is a great idea.
I'm considering starting a small business for my Grandson.
He is far too young ( 7 ) to work with molten lead, but Grandpa would be happy to help.
Commander Bell out

Made 1/4 and 5/16 oz jigs today that’s the two sizes I use the most of around the dams.
I heat the jig with a propane torch and then dip it into the powder paint and hang it to cool

You are a talented man Mike. Those look great

Them look great Mike, do you put eyes on them. Needle nose pliers and your fingers won't get so hot🤪

I have painted eyes on them but not always. And I keep the touch down low so far I have never been burned and I have done lots of them.

Mike,
Those look really nice, back in the day I did a lot of powder paint for jigs (before I got lazy and went back to spray paint), I also used Harbor freight powder for basic colors, white, black, and red.... I also would bake my heads in a toaster oven after painting at 250 for 20 minutes to smooth out any irregularities... Great looking jigs!

I use to bake them in a toaster oven after I started using the torch I think I like it better

I also used a torch for applying the paint, I just baked them in case of any irregularities... probably not necessary, just the way I was tought... Irregardless, your jigs look as good as any you will see anywhere!
