During the spring river walleye run , guys line up side by side in waders trying their luck at these tasty fish. One time, 3 guys in a boat motored up and decided to anchor no more that 45 or 50 feet right in front of us. The river is about 300 or 400 yds wide there< You could hear the grumbling from us guys about that. One of us (not admitting who) tied on a 1 ounce jighead, cut off the hook and took a "shot" at the side of that aluminum boat. You shoulda' heard that, made them guys jump. sounded like a 12 gauge slug!! all of us guys in waders were laughing pretty hard. they still didn't move. After a few more shots from the wader brigade, they decide to pull anchor and drift a bit downstream.

That's probably safer than my original idea, my flare gun. Thanks Smitty.
shooda said paintball but I guess you got my point
fish on Freddie!
Yep, hole buzzards and idiot boaters/jetskiers. Seems I've had more instances when in my yak than my bass boat. People that have no respect seem to have less for yaks.
@Texas Womack has the answer to many of these issues...fish at night! (a little riskier for those of us in gator country)
I caught a lantern that was still lit. If you take 10 lbs off your bass I'll blow out the lamp.
Well, I fought at least a 30#er on an outgoing tide at a bridge pylon for more than 1/2 an hour only to land a lounge chair! Liked the fight, didn't like the catch.
I was trying think 🤔 of what I don't like.
Since I became a Stoic I have shed all negative emotions.
I will admit that sometimes they do sneak into my brain, but then I remember, I can't control what other people do. So why should I become upset by something that is beyond my control.
My new wake on life is
Always be polite kind and thoughtful and to
Treat others the way I want to be treated.

Great way to treat other people!
So you never get angry with others or yourself?

Oh I get angry with myself all the time.
That is the only person I have control over, and the only person I can change.

How true, Commander. I'll get frustrated with myself (and admittedly, the wind at times), but with others try to practice Christ's admonition to treat them as I'd want to be treated. When others don't do so, best to practice grace and move on. Makes for a much better day. When that stuff happens, I just remind myself to be thankful I'm out on the water enjoying it all. Even the occasional day I get skunked it's never a wasted day.
I'm with you. What you said is so true!
I don’t like it when people set up near by me and the first thing they do is getting the music going full blast . Might be I am old fashioned and enjoy the sounds of nature over any kind of music .
I think I'm just mad all the time. But I've been teaching high school for years. It takes all summer fishing to get the pissed wiped off my face, then they keep starting school earlier each year.
It's not only pleasure boaters, it is also often guys in their bassboats that don't care about fisherman in other boats or people fishing from the shore.
