It is just fishing. Fisher men are know for exaggerating. When people enjoy fishing and communicating with others it is a better world. The only thing that even comes close to irritating me is when someone backs up to the ramp and has not prepared their boat for a quick launch.but I am retired so I just tell myself, what the hell, I am not in a hurry

I understand what you are saying ,luckily I have never run into a situation like that at the ramps where I fish ( mainly rayburn and Toledo bend ) … but I’ve been around lakes, boats, bass fishing a very long time. And can tell you nobody knows the difference between a 7# bass or an 8# bass until you can see it and get it out of the water , and most likely weigh it . When someone tells me they “ missed an 8# “ , it insults my intelligence . If he / she said “ I missed a big one” , ok I can believe that. And know as we get older we should be more tolerant of stupidity , but with me, it ain’t happening. I avoid it as much as I can . And even though I’m retired ,and can basically go to the lake whenever I feel like it, I try to avoid going Friday - Monday as much as possible.
