I've got a real nice Mitchell Garcia star drag reel that I treasure. He gave it to me about 40 plus years ago.

I have 2 old red Ambassador Garcia 5000s.
One of them I got from a favorite Uncle after he passed.šŸ¤ šŸ‘

I like my 9mm. Just like American Express, don't leave home without it

If I know that I'll be out after dark, I'll take my Walther 9mm.

Providing fishermen and hunters an exception to the open carry ban is one of the few gun control laws in California that makes any sense.

Great looking heirloom Brad,I'm sure pappy is glad you have it

Thanks Al, he was an extreme outdoorsman. Initially brought me into fishing as a little tyke cause dad never fished although was an intense hunter. Son Gregg will be the inheritor but hopefully not for another 30 years of so.

Thanks OJ, Pap is still able to be seen in my mindā€™s eye. Hope Iā€™m able to live up to that reputation when my boys eventually have kids, they however donā€™t seem to be in much of a hurry.

My grandfather (pappy) had this knife many years past, gave it to my uncle John who then passed it on to me. Advertised as a floating fishing knife which it does, made of Japanese stainless steel which has lived up to itā€™s reputation for over 70 years. Sharpens quite easily and holds an edge quite well. Still use it from time to time for nostalgics sake.

Niceā€¦now I know there were a few different types out there. I had the honest-dishonest ruler knife with a bottle opener; my father bought it many years ago. Gave it to my son and itā€™s in his car. Didnā€™t have a pic of them so I searched the web and found some, to my surprise they can still be bought for $12.99
