Well guys I got to fish for two hours this morning, only caught one but it was a nice one 4 pounds 14 oz. Although it was a very ugly landing, I dropped my rod on the hook set then dropped it again after it jumped I somehow managed to land this guy. Man it felt good to get this guy on and fight it back to the boat. I've been dreading my upcoming surgery but after dropping my rod twice, surprised it didn't go in the lake, I'm thinking it's past time so I'll be glad when it's over.

That’s one fine smallie Ivey, best wishes for your successful surgery and recovery.

Nice fish, I'vey. Good luck with the neck surgery. Just do everything the Doc tells you to do afterward. I had two cervical disks replaced and fused in 2012. It was a success, yours will be too.

Tossing a 2 1/2" green pumpkin grub on a 1/8 oz head. Still using my tightline rod and 4 pound test.

No this one was on a 2 1/2" green pumpkin tube, 1/8 oz. lead head and 4 pound test. 7 1/2' medium extra fast tip rod. Lots of fun landing this guy on that rig.
Man you moved into some of the best Smallmouth Fishing in the country. Dale Hollow and Center Hill pump out some really big fish, especially Dale Hollow. Tim's still has a very good population, then the Tennessee River and all it's impoundments.

Caught some good smallies on Center Hill Sunday fishing a 3/8 jig with a P&J speed crawl. I need to fish more ultra light rigs but really have no experince . Been fishing Lake Fork to long in heavy timber!!
