That's a nice seed Brad. I remember years ago I was at the pickup window of a fast food place getting lunch when the young lady inside said look at those ducks fighting. I looked and there on the edge of the drive through pavement was a Drake mallard on top of a hen. I told the girl that they are not fighting, they are making baby ducks. She turned beet red and stammered through the rest of the time I was there.

Live an learn 🤣🤣🤣

Nice fish. Those usually run about 4 inches around here.

Went out today again and didn’t fare all that well, got a few gills and snot rockets but was treated to the antics of the geese once again. Pretty nice day before the rain sets in later this afternoon.

Thought yesterday would be a great day of fishing with the warmer temperatures but was yet again in error. One snot rocket but a pretty nice seed a hair over 10”. Nice day, pretty mild temps., not much wind and entertainment from the geese already feeling their oats. The ganders are wrestling for dominance rights for breeding, spring is in the air.

Very nice fish, love those vibrant colors. And I especially like that part about " Spring is in the air" I'm itchn' like I got poison ivy to put the yac back together and hit the water. May add a keel guard this year front getting a little worn??? It'll be a DIY of course🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏

That seed looks like a bit of good eating.

I caught a 9" perch first cast! Thought I was on my way. Couple other nibbles, no other fish, just a gorgeous day for
a February trip!

That’s a mighty fine pumpkinseed and a “big momma,” but some of these fish have exceptional color. Here are two of them I really like (pics from internet). Nevertheless, you might get lucky sometime and pull one out that looks like these. I would probably throw back a fine specimen like these so that they would again contribute to the gene pool.
