Thought yesterday would be a great day of fishing with the warmer temperatures but was yet again in error. One snot rocket but a pretty nice seed a hair over 10”. Nice day, pretty mild temps., not much wind and entertainment from the geese already feeling their oats. The ganders are wrestling for dominance rights for breeding, spring is in the air.

I recall watching a flock of Canadians, two fighting and all the others around them in a circle egging them on. My wife's comment, looks like a street corner downtown on a Friday night.

They were really putting on a show Flytier, one of them was actually diving like a loon and appeared to be grabbing others by the leg from under the water. Have never seen that before. Going to head out shortly to do a bit of fishing and observe their antics again.

That's a nice seed Brad. I remember years ago I was at the pickup window of a fast food place getting lunch when the young lady inside said look at those ducks fighting. I looked and there on the edge of the drive through pavement was a Drake mallard on top of a hen. I told the girl that they are not fighting, they are making baby ducks. She turned beet red and stammered through the rest of the time I was there.
