I still love the story that a friend of mine in San Antonio told me.
His father bought his mother a new washer and dryer, the old ones were 20 years old but still worked just looked worn.
He put the old ones by the curb with a sign that said "Free".
After a week of them sitting there, he changed the sign to "For Sale".
They were stolen in 4 hours. LOL

Hahaha it worked cause they worked 🤣🤣🤣

I took a lesson from real estate. I had a clean 98 Ford Ranger step side. California truck (no rust) with 265,000 miles.
Put it in front of my office on Sunday with a sign that said best offer by Friday. I posted the highest bid daily on a sign. Got calls all week. Started at 2,000 and ended up with 3,500 by Friday.

That works fine. Everything up front. On the bad side, the buyer might be a flake and not come through. It isn't' done until it's done. Sometimes you just have to sigh and start over. That is the way of life when dealing with humans.

That’s true but you always have the next bid.

Which is why I treat any Facebook Marketplace , Craigslist etc . With extreme suspicion . But in all fairness if you going to buy a boat etc . Get the cash first. As a seller I only take a cash via transfer app like Venmo, Cashapp etc on anything that costs more than a couple of hundred bucks

Tough luck Ed.
You’ll find your boat yet, I’ve had good luck with folks.
I fished up your way yesterday just for an hour, nothing late in the day.
Planning on tomorrow in this warm weather and sun.
Was thinking of slow drifting some crawlers for walleye on Fellows.
Any suggestions, been out?
